Gister zijn in Los Angeles de winnaars van de Golden Globes 2014 onthuld. Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Matthew McConaughey en Amy Adams mochten allemaal een beeldje mee naar huis nemen.
In het Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles werden zondagavond de Golden Globes 2014 uitgereikt. Tina Fey en Amy Poehler mochten de awardshow presenteren. American Hustle was de grote winnaar van de avond. De film was 7 keer genomineerd en wist 3 prijzen in de wacht te slepen. American Hustle kreeg een award voor beste komedie of musical, beste actrice in komedie of musical en beste vrouwelijke bijrol.
Daarnaast wist Leonardo DiCaprio met zijn rol in The Wolf of Wall Street een Golden Globe te winnen voor beste acteur in een musical- of comedy. Actrice Cate Blanchett werd verkozen tot beste actrice in een dramafilm met haar rol in Blue Jasmine. Verder vielen ook de tekenfilm Frozen en de series Breaking Bad en Brooklyn Nine-Nine in de prijzen.
